Hello
We live in a challenging world that demands a lot from us. In fact, it is likely that despite all the advances and comforts of the modern world, the mental health of Australians is not in the best of shapes.
The reality is that as much as we try to push through, it is likely that over time too much becomes exactly that: ‘too much” , and we cannot longer cope. If you are reading this, it is likely that you or your loved one’s coping mechanism and resilience need some guidance and a good boost.
My Story
I am a Registered Psychologist and a Sydneysider, Croatian born and New Zealand educated.
I have 20 years of clinical experience in many different clinical settings, so there is very little I have not heard. With a non-judgmental, compassionate and open-minded attitude I am here to help you make sense of what is happening and show you how to become your own therapist. As a mother of two and an immigrant who left a war torn country I am no stranger to life’s adversity and challenges.
My special interest and passion is working with First Responders (Emergency Workers) and/or clients who have experienced difficulties at their workplace and have needed to reduce their hours or stopped working altogether. Most of my clients suffer from psychological injuries they sustained at work and/or have been involved in a motor vehicle or other accidents.
My wish for you is to help you incorporate some new, more helpful parts while you re-learn to come back to your original self.
Warmly,
Katja
